Neighborhood Safety Committee PDF Print E-mail

In the wake of several high-profile crimes committeed in the Penn Wynne Neighborhood in the past 18 months, Commissioner Rogers has set up the Neighbohrood Safety Committe. On July 2, 2007, the Committee met for the first time and was charged with taking a comprehensive approach to reviewing any and all means by which the neighborhood can be made safter.

Over the summer the Committee will meet and will come up with a list of recommendations which will be presented to the neighborhood in the fall. Commissioner Rogers will work with the Committee towards immediately implementing the recommendations. The following neighbors volunteered to serve on the Committee:

COMMITEE UPDATE (8/4/07):

The committee has met three times and is off to a strong start.  At our last meeting we met with National Night Out founder and Director of Lower Merion Town Watch, Matt Peskin.  Our next meeting will include Lower Merion Police Superintendent Joe Daly.
