| Penn Wynne's Newest Firefighter: Brad Remick |
Meet Penn Wynne's newest volunteer firefighter, attorney Brad Remick. At the age of 44, Brad felt the need to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter.
Brad's recent certification as a firefigher is a significant achievment. Indeed, he is the first firefighter from Penn Wynne's Fire Company to meet the state's recent 166 hour training requirement which features a combination of classroom and in-the-field training followed by written and practical examinations. The examinations included questioning on fire-ground support, search and rescue, truck operations, firefighter survival, exterior firefighting, interior firefighting, CPR and first aid. Pointing out that he was the oldest person in his class (even older than many of his instructors), and more than 25 years older than his fellow students, Brad commented, "It's never too late to join up and serve the community." Brad lives on Yarmouth Road wtih his wife Hiliary and sons Hayden & Griffin. |
